Keep in mind if the sweepstake is a national contest the odds of winning can be extremely low since these types of store receive a tremendous amount of traffic. However it's a tremendous way for them to generate sales since they know that there usually won't be a lot of homeowners that will come into the store for the sole pupose of getting an entry form. So since you are there to shop also make sure you pick up the entry form first and read it carefully before you start walking the aisles. Many times you can get additional entries into the sweepstakes by purchasing certain items. This is especially true when the store has partnered with one or more of their suppliers. Therefore make sure you read all of the fine print because the additional entries may require that you purchase specific brands or models!

There are some types of home improvement sweepstakes that are just simple entry forms where you choose the prize that you want to win. For example, you may have the choice of a free power roller attachment or a free store gift card worth a certain amount of money. Read the sweepstake rules to determine if the gift card is only usuable at that store or if it is a VISA or Master Card Store card that you can use anywhere for anything that you want.

If it's not a store you use often a store gift card that is only redeemable in that store may not be the best choice for you to make. However, most people would be thrilled to win any type of prize. Who cares what the prize is, at least you won something.

I shop at Home Depot on a regular basis and even I didn't know this until I learned it recently. I guess I should pay closer attention when I'm there and quit running quickly in and out for just the few items I need at the time.

If you are like me you didn't know that so many people were in Home Depot to enter sweepstakes. Imagine that, they weren't just there to shop. I always wondered how there could be so many people doing home improvements every weekend. Occassionally you don't even have to go into the store to enter some of these Home Depots sweepstakes. Home improvement sweepstakes are very popular by almost everybody. Who wouldn't like a chance to win and save themselves some cash. No matter what you win, winning should make people extremely happy! So on your endeavour of finding true happiness enter any and all home improvement sweepstakes as often and as many times to the fullest extent that the rules allow. Winning is everything but of course I know you wouldn't dream of trying to win by breaking any of the rules!!!
